‘Star Wars: The Cestus Deception, A Clone Wars Novel’ – Chapter 66

It’s Thursday and it was a very tiring day from the moment I woke up till the moment I went to bed.  But, the day was full of some of the mundane but was a challenge all at once.  Heather got up early today as she had to be at work and ready to go by six o’clock.  I did not get up until around nine a.m. myself because I was still tired from yesterday and the work that was required to make it through yesterday.  I got up and got myself going for the day and had a decent morning of watching “Dr. Phil” and “Frasier” while eating brunch and getting ready for work today.  I’m really not liking this idea of having no time to myself anymore.  One of these days I’ll actually have time to sit down and simply relax for myself.  When that happens, it will be much appreciated time!
I got done getting ready for Wendy’s and then headed off to work at Wendy’s.  I got to work and the day went very different from yesterday.   I had a chance to talk to the manager about yesterday and some problems we had with the afternoon shift and made some suggestions about how to improve it for today and potentially tomorrow.  He agreed with my suggestions and we tried it today and it seemed to work out much better.  For those that work (or have worked) in fast food, they will tell you that one of the toughest things is being able to serve a quality product with speed, but also going through the cleaning processes just to make sure that the customer is getting a quality product.  I made some suggestions that may help to make that process go faster and a little more smooth.  It seemed to work out pretty well today and my boss at Wendy’s said it may be a good suggestion for the future, we’ll have to wait and see.  I will say this though, I’m definetly going to be loosing weight if I continue to work the grill every day.  It is amazingly hot behind that grill and it hasn’t been that warm outside!

I got done with work and came home and was simply exhausted.  I went downstairs and took a quick nap before dinner and Heather let me vent about my work day and then we all ate dinner together.  After dinner, Heather asked me if we wanted to go to the mall because she had some things she wanted to get, including her paycheck.  I agreed and we headed out to the mall.  We grabbed her paycheck and then went into the mall and walked around and got some things.  I got two new PS3 games to try (hey, they were cheap at Gamestop because they are “pre-played” games).  I managed to find “Civil War:  Secret Missions” and “Mercenaries 2″ and then we got some things for Heather.  We also bought me some new sunglasses because we lost my old ones from somewhere.  We came home and cleaned up a little around the house and watched some T.V. and then went to bed.

Okay, so let’s discuss Chapter 66 of “Star Wars:  The Cestus Deception, A Clone Wars Novel” by Steven Barnes……Chapter 66:  As G’Mai’s government officials were disturbed by the recent happenings, so were the criminal underworld.  Gambling and drug dealing had all but ceased and individuals feared war so they hoarded their resources.  This put Trillot in a pinch.  This is what was happening when Ventress entered her den.  Trillot told Ventress that no one can truly understand how all of this is going to end.  Ventress said that was true except for one person.  Trillot asked who that was and Ventress told her that Count Dooku forsees all of this and that she and Kenobi will meet yet again.  That’s when Trillot realized that Kenobi and Ventress were yet to come to blows and she hoped she was not between them when it occurred.  On the other hand, when things were more perilous, there was a possiblity for more profits to be made.
