Wednesday and a day off from work! Woo-Hoo! This was the first day that I didn’t have anything really planned for in a long, long time! I was so happy to be able to work on things that I wanted to work on and not things that needed to get taken care of or demanded some sort of time table. I got up around ten o’clock this morning and it felt good to be able to sleep in for a while today. I haven’t done that in I can’t even remember how long! I got up and Heather and I agreed that we needed to get to Lowes right away. We headed over there and bought some things we needed. I needed a small chainsaw to get the work in my backyard done. We also picked up some pavers and some marble stones for the entrance to our new porch.
We got home so the first thing Heather and I did was put down the pavers and the new stones. It looked much better than the gravel that Heather put down last night while I was gone. We got it all down and realized we needed more stone, but we’ll have to wait until the next paycheck to make sure that is taken care of. I then went into the basement and hooked up my new chainsaw and went outside and started to cut the tree trunks from the summer. I made about ten cuts and then the saw part of the chainsaw literally fell apart! It was in pieces and I was a little upset (to say the least!). So, Heather went back to Lowes and got a new chainsaw and I went back outside and finished the job no problem. After finishing my job, I had a late lunch.
After lunch, I decided to get a little lazy and I played COD: MW2 for a while as I worked on my Mando pistol (now I’m down to simply flat coating it) as well as working on some other projects. My big project for the day and evening was cleaning up the basement. My shop, my hobby table, my podcast table and the entire basement is a wreck! I had to work most of the evening to get done what I wanted to get done. The big thing I did was rearrange things as well. I created some space and felt much better by the time the night was over. I even cleaned a little and vacuumed a little as well. I was busy as I worked. This afternoon I watched “American Choppers”, “Fringe”, “Dr. Phil” (several episodes) and “Storage Wars” as well as some episodes of “Mythbusters” while I worked. After that, I got called upstairs for dinner.
After dinner, I came into the basement and recorded some episodes of “Clone Wars in a Galactic Minute” and then played some more COD:MW2 and then watched my normal Wednesday night shows including “Survivor: South Pacific”, “Criminal Minds” and “Unforgettable” before heading to bed for “Turkey Day” tomorrow.
Okay, let’s talk about Part 3 of Chapter 8 of “Star Wars: Jedi Trial” by David Sherman and Dan Cragg………
Chapter 8 (Part 3): Palpatine then pointed out that even if Slayke is able to hold off the initial force, here are bound to be more droids sent in to Praesitlyn as Ha’Nook even wondered why Slayke would take the risk in the first place. But the Chancellor simply said he’s and idealist, but now they all see why they need to make an important decision on this night. Palpatine pleaded with them to convince their constituants that they need to send their forces in. He told them he knew he had the power to do it anyway, but he felt the need for transparency in a democracy such as theirs. Isard also pointed out that Slayke’s army will give Tonith and his droids a run for their credits. Ha’Nook then asked what force should be sent and Palpatine said that all they had were the twenty thousand clones that were stationed at Centax One. Ha’Nook pointed out that this garrison of troops were their last reserves for Coruscant but Palpatine countered saying that if they let the Seperatists take Praesitlyn, it will be a thorn in the side of The Republic, and they must act now. Ha’Nook then asked the question – why wasn’t Praesitlyn reinforced before? Palpatine said it was his fault and Isard also pointed out that Tipoca City would give them a large batch of reinforcements in two to three months. Ha’Nook suggested this needed to avoid that since times like these require leaders to make quick decisions and Ha’Nook suggested that means he takes the consequences for failure. Palpatine accepted that as Sly Moore suggested they sleep on it until Paige Tarkin asked who would lead the expedition and Palpatine suggested it be a Jedi Master…..
