‘Star Wars – Jedi Trial’ – Chapter 21 (Part 3)

1 Feb

Wednesday and I’ll admit that things got a little chaotic today.  I’m not even sure I remember everything that happened, but I’ll try and recant my day for all of you here.  It was an odd day and I was not in a good mood almost from the get-go, although I’m not totally sure why.  I got up this morning and headed into the shower and got dressed and got ready for the day.  The kids ate breakfast and we all watched our usual “Fox and Friends” before seperating while I headed to work and they headed to school.

I got to work and set things up for my day with my students.  I decided to reverse my schedule slightly this week because we have an SSR day tomorrow and that would mean cutting into my music history time, which I get so little of to begin with.  So, I had us do music history today.  My eighth graders started to watch their History of Jazz video series from Ken Burns and my classes seemed okay with what they watched.  My seventh graders started their unit on the Renaissance and we learned about guys like Palestrina and the Gabrielli’s.  My sixth graders defined the word music with me and then we started to learn about the Antiquity Era.  It was a decent music history day and I was happy with how my students performed.

I got home and started to organize some things around the house because my parents are coming this weekend to celebrate Tara’s birthday on top of ten times of other things that need to get done.  The kids were working on homework and I thought now was a good time to look at my Mando kit and my Mando bucket.  However, when I took my bucket out of it’s case, everything fell out of the bucket.  That made me SO mad because it’s about the third or fourth time that has happened in the past year.  So, I was pretty irked at what I saw.  So, it was time to rip everything out of the helmet and start over.  I really didn’t have time to work on it, but I was going to have to make time to work on it.  I worked on the helmet most of the night as I did other things like watching my TV shows.

I took a break long enough to go upstairs for dinner and then locked myself in the basement for the evening.  Heather was worried about me because I was getting grumpy about this project.  I have been trying to tell her that I need to update my bucket and that the project that I’m working on to update it is not moving along fast enough.  Hopefully, before Celebration VI comes along, Kal Falco will be in a brand new bucket that is not only a tad bit original, it will be a Falco Clan exclusive item.  That’s the hope anyway.  As I worked tonight, I watched my usual TV shows including “Shipping Wars”, and “Storage Wars” as I DVR’d “Hot in Cleveland” and “The Exes”.  It was a long day, but I got a lot done before the end of the night.  I got a lot of the internal electronics on the inside of the helmet again.  Tomorrow I was going to work on installing the T-Visor.

Okay, let’s talk about Part 3 of Chapter 21 of “Star Wars:  Jedi Trial” by David Sherman and Dan Cragg……..

Chapter 21 (Part 3):  They crawled through massive boulders in a huge silence in the night.  As they halted, they could hear the clanking sound of droids moving around.  They weren’t sure how many or what they were armed with as L’loxx and Grudo stepped into an opening between the rocks.  A droid stood up in front of L’loxx and Grurdo pulled out his vibroblade and cut the droid’s head clean off.  He held the robot’s head as he eased the body down, trying not to make noise.  They all froze in panic, but were able to then move across the clearing and L’loxx kneeled down and gathered them into a tight circle.  L’loxx then thanked Grudo and told them all that he goes on from here alone and told them to establish a defensive perimeter.  L’loxx said to give him an hour, but Private Vick insisted they would leave together.  L’loxx said that was an order and said if the enemy could get him, then they would get them all too.  L’loxx then disappeared in the dark as the three others sat back to back and Corporal Raders told Grudo that the droid had no idea what was coming.  As the moments dragged on, he heard the other two guards doinng what he called “mocking the midnight bell”…….
